A small park in the center of the equally small Oplotnica, along the playful Oplotnica stream, suprises with a view of the spacious and obviously rich mansion. The Oplotnica Mansion is also called Žiče Manor, since it was built by the Carthusians of Žiče Charterhouse in the course of their venerable 600-year history. The municipality of Oplotnica undertook its complete renovation in 2010.

The facade of the mansion is decorated with baroque sculpture of St. John the Baptist, which was supposedly transported from the Žiče Charterhouse after World War I.

Part of the mansion is a magnificent chapel, distinguished by the finest stucco on the ceiling in this part of the country, linking it to the tomb of the Emperor Ferdinand II. in Graz.

The chapel which was once luxuriously decorated had an altar, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, as well as abundant equipment and a collection of oil paintings. Particularly well known has always been the forged fence, which is still preserved.
