Puklavec Family Wines, Ormož

A few days ago I bought a bottle of Puklavec Family Wines wine. The front label of the bottle proudly featured PUKLAVEC FAMILY WINES (Puklavec is a Slovenian family winery owning their own wineyards) and JERUZALEM ORMOŽ (which is part of the Drava wine region in Slovenia, implying this is Slovenian wine). I was unpleasantly surprised when I read later that this was a Macedonian wine on the back label, only bottled in Jeruzalem Ormož, Slovenia, by the Puklavec Family Wines. I had nothing against Macedonian wines, some of them are very good, but I didn't like to be deceived into believing that I was buying a Slovenian wine while I was actually getting a Macedonian wine. Not to mention that in this case the wine definitely wasn't worth the money. Macedonian wines are very inexpensive at the bottom of the range. All in all, I found the front label on this bottle deceiving. Even the Interspar shop where I bought it seemed to be misled by it, since they've featured it in the Slovenian Drava wine region section. Very shady business practice, fuelled by greed I guess. Be that as it may, I'll surely steer away from the Puklavec Family Wines in the future.
