Lake Petelinje, Pivka

4.3
#5 of 6 in Nature in Inner Carniola Region
Water Body · Hidden Gem · Landmark
Go for a short walk or hike at Lake Petelinje, a seasonal body of water. Because it remains one of the lowest lying of such lakes in the area, this one is usually among the last to lose its waters. It may be difficult to get to and around it at the height of the season and during high water levels, so come prepared with good walking shoes and appropriate clothing. • Perfect relaxed place for chilling. If going with bike, be sure to bring HB mountain bike for gravel. Otherwise long peaceful walking trails suitable also for families and pets. Don't forget to buy homemade cheese at the local shop - nearby starting point - Ecocenter.
  • Seasonal lake beautiful in all forms :)
