Carved by the namesake river, Mostnica Gorge allows you to enjoy pristine nature in all its glory. A photographer's paradise, the area is also ideal for hiking across a scenic landscape with many interesting rock formations. Look especially for a formation called "Little Elephant," a hollow rock created by the force of water. Do bring a camera and dress appropriately for the outdoors, with a good pair of shoes for uneven terrain. We had a hike through the Korita Mostnice with our toddler. What a beautifull place to be and to hike. Around every corner is a new view to enjoy.

One of the most exciting parts during our stay in the Bled region! We started our hike at around 10:30 AM from the Stara Fužina parking lot (very convenient parking) and followed the Stara Fužina road while observing the majestic Triglav right in front of us. We got a bit lost as we wanted to walk along the gorge and not an asphalt road, therefore we turned onto the first forest path leading downhill. We followed a little stream that carved into the rocks and created some fantastic photo opportunities. We enjoyed ourselves very much, little did we know that this was not the main gorge! Mostnica Gorge was obviously amazing, much bigger than the one we just visited. Unfortunately due to time constraints we did not make it to the main waterfall, however even downstream, close to the Stara Fužina city, there were some spectacular rock features, aquamarine water and stunning places to just sit and relax! The path we walked on was rocky and full of roots, however nothing unexpected nor dangerous. As we walked back to the city, we passed by the entrance booth where you have to pay an entrance fee. We did enter the gorge from the side (unofficially I believe), therefore we did not pay anything (not that we wanted to avoid paying anything). It took us nearly 3 hours to get back as we really enjoyed ourselves and took a lot of photos. 100% recommend visiting this beautiful gorge! Visited in April 2022.

This is one of the most beautiful place to enjoy a very easy trekking throughout natures. Caves, rivers, waterfall, forest.. you can spend a lot of hours in the surrounding in the quiet landscape. Unfortunately the car parking is really expensive, 3 EUR per hour and you don't have alternative.
