Built to commemorate the solders who died in the battles of World War I, Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit was designed by Austrian architect Remigius Geyling. • This can be a little tricky to get to, but it is entirely worth the effort. I'd been on the fence about going as I was trying to fit a lot of sightseeing into a small amount of time, and I'm so glad.....  more »
  • This is special place in the nature. Peaceful. Nice church and view. The guide given good and interested information about this church and 1. world war. Way by car is a little "crazy" - the road.....  more »
  • Beautiful and fascinating church, in the Secessionist (art nouveau) style. Knowledgeable guide shared stories about the hardships faced by the soldiers and their yearning for peace. The final 5km of the drive from Tolmin is on a single track dirt road, with steep drops. The walk from the car park to the church is around 800m along a steep but well surfaced path. 4€ entry.
  • Very impressive place. Great view over the valley too. Even though you need some strong nerves to get there by car.
