1 day in Portorož & Koper Itinerary

A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.

On the 16th (Sat), kick back and relax at Portorož Beach, make a trip to Walls of Piran, then make a trip to Tartini Square, then explore the engaging exhibits at Magical World of Shells Museum, and finally take a leisurely stroll along Port Piran.

Ljubljana to Portorož is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Ljubljana in January, things will get a bit warmer in Portorož: highs are around 11°C and lows about 1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Sat) so you can catch the shuttle to Koper.
