Start off your visit on the 6th (Sat): don't miss a visit to Ljubljana Castle, then explore the activities along Ljubljanica River, then take in the views from Triple Bridge, and finally take a stroll through Ljubljana Old Town.

Florence, Italy to Ljubljana is an approximately 5-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and shuttle; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Florence in August, things will get a bit cooler in Ljubljana: highs are around 31°C and lows about 15°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sat) so you can go by car back home.
