Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Cathedral of St. Nicholas and Franciscan Church of the Annunciation are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll explore and learn at House of Illusions and Galerija Fotografija. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Bled (Ojstrica, Bled Castle, &more), St. Jacob Church (in Škofja Loka) and Natural Bathing Place Lajšt (in Spodnja Idrija). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Old Town Centre of Radovljica, explore the historical opulence of Ljubljana Castle, snap pictures at Dragon Bridge, and wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 10th (Mon), enjoy the sand and surf at Portorož Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Strunjan Nature Reserve, kick back and relax at Svetilnik Beach, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, and finally get a taste of the local shopping with Loza Gallery. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: don't miss a visit to Tartini Square, get a taste of the local shopping with Tartini's House, shop like a local with Nika's Tiny House, then take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, then get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, and finally shop like a local with Manzioli Square.

You can drive from Ljubljana to Piran in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Ljubljana in July, expect a bit warmer with lows of 21°C in Piran. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 11th (Tue) so you can go by car to Kobarid.

Kobarid — 2 nights

At the very heart of picturesque Soca Valley, Kobarid delivers some of the most stunning views of Slovenia's highest peaks, as well as a chance to enjoy some exciting alpine rivers.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Wed): take in the spiritual surroundings of Italian Charnel House, then examine the collection at Kobarid Museum, then appreciate the views at Soča Valley, and finally take in the dramatic natural features at Tolmin Gorge. On your second day here, whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and then admire the sheer force of Kozjak Waterfall.
