Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 1st (Mon), take a pleasant ride with Lipica Stud Farm, explore the fascinating underground world of Škocjan Caves, and then don't miss a visit to Tartini Square. Keep things going the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Portorož Beach, then make a trip to Walls of Piran, then learn more about the world around you at Magical World of Shells Museum, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church.
