Piran

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 6th (Fri), make a trip to Tartini Square, take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, then examine the collection at Magical World of Shells Museum, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, and finally make a trip to Walls of Piran.

Traveling by car from Ljubljana to Piran takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Piran when traveling from Ljubljana in August, with lows around 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Bohinjsko Jezero.

Bohinjsko Jezero

The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Sat): take in the dramatic scenery at Savica Waterfall, take in the awesome beauty at Vogel, then admire the sheer force of Mostnica Gorge, and finally explore the activities along Lake Bohinj.

Traveling by car from Piran to Bohinjsko Jezero takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In August, Bohinjsko Jezero is slightly colder than Piran - with highs of 28°C and lows of 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sat) early enough to drive to Bovec.

Bovec

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Kayaking & Canoeing and Lake Jasna. Take a break from the city and head to Tolmin Gorge and Vršič Pass. When in Bovec, make a side trip to see Tromeja -Triple border in Kranjska Gora, approximately Kranjska Gora away. And it doesn't end there: take in breathtaking views at Virje Waterfall, whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, take in the dramatic scenery at Kozjak Waterfall, and appreciate the views at Soča Valley.
