Bovec — 3 nights

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Kayaking & Canoeing and Tromeja -Triple border. Venture out of the city with trips to Planica Nordic Centre & Zipline (in Rateče) and Kranjska Gora (Ajdovska Deklica & Liznjekova house). There's still lots to do: admire the sheer force of Kozjak Waterfall, sample the tasty concoctions at Thirsty River Brewing, kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, and don't miss a visit to Fort Hermann.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Tivoli Park and National Museum of Contemporary History. Step out of Ljubljana with an excursion to Old Town Centre of Radovljica in Radovljica--about 44 minutes away. Spend the 27th (Sat) on a tasty journey with a beer tour and tasting.
