Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Start off your visit on the 29th (Thu): stroll around Park Pietro Coppo, learn about winemaking at Vinakoper, then Head underground at Škocjan Caves, and finally identify plant and animal life at Strunjan Nature Reserve. Keep things going the next day: don't miss a visit to Walls of Piran, see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, admire the landmark architecture of Sodna palaca, explore the engaging exhibits at Magical World of Shells Museum, then see the interesting displays at Mediadom Pyrhani, and finally make a trip to Tartini Square.
