Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Ljubljana: Bled (Mala Osojnica, Bled Castle, &more), Vipava River Spring (in Vipava) and Postojna (Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle). There's lots more to do: wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town, walk around Tivoli Park, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of St. Nicholas, and contemplate the waterfront views at Ljubljanica River.

Dublin, Ireland to Ljubljana is an approximately 7.5-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also fly; or do a combination of ferry and car. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Dublin to Ljubljana due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Dublin in July, things will get somewhat warmer in Ljubljana: highs are around 32°C and lows about 17°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Thu) so you can go by car to Piran.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Start off your visit on the 31st (Fri): don't miss a visit to Walls of Piran, do a tasting at Vinakoper, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Anne's Friary, then view the masterpieces at Nika's Tiny House, and finally engage your brain at Magical World of Shells Museum. On your second day here, don't miss a visit to Tartini Square, admire the striking features of Sodna palaca, then explore the fascinating underground world of Škocjan Caves, and finally stroll around Strunjan Nature Reserve.

Bohinjsko Jezero

The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
On the 2nd (Sun), take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Triglav, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St John the Baptist, then glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, and finally explore the activities along Lake Bohinj.

You can drive from Piran to Bohinjsko Jezero in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Expect slightly colder temperatures when traveling from Piran in August; daily highs in Bohinjsko Jezero reach 28°C and lows reach 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Bovec.

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, then head outdoors with Outdoor Activities, and then contemplate the long history of Ravelnik Open Air Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: take in the views from Bridge of Napoleon and then admire the masterpieces at Tolmin Museum.
