Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Change things up with these side-trips from Ljubljana: Piran (St. George's Church, Tartini Square, &more) and Logar Valley Landscape Park (in Solčava). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town, stroll around Tivoli Park, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and snap pictures at Dragon Bridge.

The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Explore Bled's surroundings by going to Bohinjsko Jezero (Vogel & Lake Bohinj), Bovec (Zipline & Soča Valley) and Kranjska Gora (Vršič Pass & Zelenci Nature Reserve). Spend the 14th (Thu) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. There's much more to do: trek along Vintgar Gorge, don't miss a visit to Three Country Border, admire the sheer force of Peričnik Falls, and step into the grandiose world of Bled Castle.

Drive from Ljubljana to Bled in an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. In July, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Škocjan.
