Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.Explore Ljubljana's surroundings by going to Bled (Triglav National Park, Bled Island, &more), Postojna (Tourist Information Centre - Galerija & Postojna Cave) and Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje). Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Ljubljana is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. When traveling from Amsterdam in June, plan for somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Ljubljana: temperatures range from 29°C by day to 14°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Sat) so you can drive to Portorož.
