Bovec — 1 night

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

Piran — 3 nights

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Visit St. George's Church and Church of St. Bernardine for their historical value. Do some cultural sightseeing at Magical World of Shells Museum and Military Museum Tabor. Take a break from Piran with a short trip to Škocjan Caves in Škocjan, about 44 minutes away. There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum, stroll around Strunjan Nature Reserve, experience rural life at Fonda Fish Farm, and discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Traveling from Ljubljana in June, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Piran, with lows around 18°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Thu) early enough to go by car back home.
