A trip to Nova Gorica takes you to the land between the Alps and the sea.

Berlin, Germany to Nova Gorica is an approximately 11-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and car. In December in Nova Gorica, expect temperatures between 12°C during the day and 0°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 8th (Tue) so you can go by car to Piran.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.

You can drive from Nova Gorica to Piran in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and ferry; or take a bus. In December, daily temperatures in Piran can reach 12°C, while at night they dip to 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Grahovo.

Grahovo offers access to the shores of a scenic lake, known as one of Europes biggest intermittent bodies of water.

On the 15th (Tue), explore the activities along Cerknica Lake, examine the collection at Hunting Collection and Dormouse Museum, and then Head underground at Cross Cave.

You can drive from Piran to Grahovo in 1.5 hours. In December, Grahovo is slightly colder than Piran - with highs of 5°C and lows of -3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
