Lipica

Known for its Lipizzaner horses, Lipica is nevertheless more than just a horse lover's heaven.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Mon): examine the collection at Lipizzan Museum Lipikum and then tour the stables at Lipica Stud Farm. Here are some ideas for day two: view the masterpieces at Avgust Cernigoj Gallery, tee off at Golf Klub Lipica, and then try to win big at Grand Casino Lipica.

Featuring picturesque old streets embellished with Gothic and Baroque churches, Lesce remains a perfect example of a quaint little town in Central Europe.
Get out of town with these interesting Lesce side-trips: Škofja Loka (Church of the Annunciation of Mary, Škofja Loka Castle, &more), Forma viva Ravne Steel Masterpieces (in Ravne na Koroškem) and Peca Underground - Tourist Mine and Museum (in Mežica).
