History buffs can spend their entire Kamnik vacation soaking in the town's medieval appeal at two castles, monastery, and lively streets packed with artisanal workshops.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Krvavec and Little Castle. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kamnik: Solčava (Solčava Panoramic Road & Logar Valley Landscape Park) and Terme Dolenjske Spa (in Dolenjske Toplice). There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Franciscan Monastery.

Split, Croatia to Kamnik is an approximately 7.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. The capital of Slovenia's Alps, Kranj allows you to stand with one foot in the nature and another in a town that's both a cultural center and a base for outdoor activities.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Tue): take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Kancijan Church, don't miss a visit to Tunnels Under Old Kranj, pause for some photo ops at Plečnik's Arcade & Fountain, then make a trip to Toll House, and finally view the masterpieces at Layer House.
