The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.Attractions like Triglav National Park and Parasailing & Paragliding make great kid-friendly stops. Get out of town with these interesting Bled side-trips: Vršič Pass (in Kranjska Gora) and Bohinjsko Jezero (Lake Bohinj & Vogel). Take a trip to Mojstrana to use the town as a convenient base for explorations into the Julian Alps.On the 19th (Sat), take in the dramatic scenery at Martuljek Waterfalls, examine the collection at Slovenian Alpine Museum, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Peričnik Falls. Keep things going the next day: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Triglav.

You can drive from Mojstrana to Kobarid in 2 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In August, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Tue) to allow time to drive to Ljubljana.
