A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.
Family-friendly places like St. George's Church and Portorož Beach will thrill your kids. Popular historic sites such as Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower and Krstilnica sv.Janeza Krstnika are in your itinerary. Take a break from Portorož with a short trip to Škocjan Caves in Škocjan, about 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, tour the pleasant surroundings at Koper City Beach, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Nicholas Church, and take in the waterfront at Port Piran.

Milan, Italy to Portorož is an approximately 5-hour car ride. Expect a daytime high around 34°C in August, and nighttime lows around 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Wed) so you can drive to Kobarid.

Kobarid — 3 nights

At the very heart of picturesque Soca Valley, Kobarid delivers some of the most stunning views of Slovenia's highest peaks, as well as a chance to enjoy some exciting alpine rivers.

Bohinjsko Jezero — 1 night

The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
On the 27th (Sun), contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Bohinj, glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, then stroll through Vogel, and finally take in the dramatic scenery at Mostnica Gorge.
