A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.Family-friendly places like St. George's Church and Portorož Beach will thrill your kids. Popular historic sites such as Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower and Krstilnica sv.Janeza Krstnika are in your itinerary. Take a break from Portorož with a short trip to Škocjan Caves in Škocjan, about 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, tour the pleasant surroundings at Koper City Beach, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Nicholas Church, and take in the waterfront at Port Piran.
