Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Explore hidden gems such as Portorož Beach and Tartini Square. We've included these beaches for you: Strunjan Nature Reserve and Svetilnik Beach. Go for a jaunt from Piran to Škocjan to see Škocjan Caves about 44 minutes away. There's still lots to do: head outdoors with Outdoor Activities, stroll through Zusterna Beach, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church.

Ljubljana to Piran is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Ljubljana in July, expect somewhat warmer with lows of 21°C in Piran. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Wed) so you can drive to Bovec.

Bovec

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Kayaking & Canoeing and Kozjak Waterfall. Get in touch with nature at Tolmin Gorge and Boka Waterfall. Venture out of the city with trips to Kranjska Gora (Lake Jasna & Vršič Pass).
