Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

Venture out of the city with trips to Bled (Ojstrica, Mala Osojnica, &more), France Preseren's Birth House - museum (in Žirovnica) and Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje). Dedicate the 5th (Fri) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area.
