Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Venture out of the city with trips to Postojna (Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle), Bled (Ojstrica, Bled Castle, &more) and Pokljuka Gorge (in Krnica). Bohinjsko Jezero — 2 nights

The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Sat): admire the sheer force of Savica Waterfall, go from sight to sight with Vogel, then fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, and finally explore the activities along Lake Bohinj. In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Wed): Head underground at Škocjan Caves, then do a tasting at Lepa Vida Boutique Winery, and then indulge your senses at some of the top wineries in the area. Keep things going the next day: experience rural life at Fonda Fish Farm, then don't miss a visit to Walls of Piran, then discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and finally make a trip to Tartini Square.
