The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bled: Bohinjsko Jezero (Vogel, Savica Waterfall, &more). Spend the 1st (Wed) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Vintgar Gorge, explore the historical opulence of Bled Castle, fly down the slopes at Straža Bled, and admire the striking features of Bled Island.

You can drive from Bled to Bovec in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In September, plan for daily highs up to 21°C, and evening lows to 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Piran.
