Kobarid — 3 nights

Bled — 4 nights

The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bled: Vršič Pass (in Kranjska Gora), Peričnik Falls (in Mojstrana) and Bohinjsko Jezero (Vogel & Lake Bohinj). Spend the 31st (Sun) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. There's still lots to do: trek along Vintgar Gorge, explore the historical opulence of Bled Castle, fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, and step off the mainland to explore Bled Island.

Traveling by car from Kobarid to Bled takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and train; or take a bus. In July, daytime highs in Bled are 32°C, while nighttime lows are 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 2nd (Tue) to allow time for the car ride to Ljubljana.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 5th (Fri), make a trip to Tartini Square. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 6th (Sat): see the interesting displays at Koper Regional Museum, then explore the fascinating underground world of Škocjan Caves, and then do a tasting at Boris Lisjak Winery.
