Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Step out of the city life by going to Velika Planina and Cerknica Lake. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Parasailing & Paragliding and Rakov Škocjan Landscape Park. Step out of Ljubljana with an excursion to Logar Valley Landscape Park in Solčava--about 1h 5 min away. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Technical Museum of Slovenia, enjoy unforgettable views with Balonarski Center Barje, and get outside with Mount Saint Mary.
