Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Postojna (Postojna Cave & Karst Museum) and Bled (Ojstrica, Bled Island, &more). Spend the 30th (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Piran

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Venture out of the city with trips to Lipica Stud Farm (in Lipica), Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan) and Hrastovlje Church of the Holy Trinity (in Hrastovlje). There's still lots to do: make a trip to Tartini Square, learn about winemaking at Boris Lisjak Winery, learn more about the world around you at Magical World of Shells Museum, and relax and rejuvenate at Fish Spa Piran.

Traveling by car from Ljubljana to Piran takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Bohinjsko Jezero
