Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Step out of Piran to go to Škocjan and see Škocjan Caves, which is approximately 44 minutes away. The adventure continues: get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. George's Church, gain insight at St. Anne's Friary, and make a trip to Tartini Square.

Getting from Bovec to Piran by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a bus.
