Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Step off the beaten path and head to Cathedral of St. Nicholas and Ljubljanica River. Step out of the city life by going to Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bled. Get out of town with these interesting Ljubljana side-trips: Postojna (Predjama Castle & Postojna Cave) and Bled Castle (in Bled). And it doesn't end there: wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town, stop by OrCa Cruelty-Free Shop, stroll around Tivoli Park, and make a trip to Mestni Trg.

Piran

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 2nd (Thu), don't miss a visit to Tartini Square, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. George's Church, examine the collection at Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, and finally make a trip to Walls of Piran. On the 3rd (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Hrastovlje Church of the Holy Trinity, learn about winemaking at Vinakoper, and then admire the striking features of Praetorian Palace.

Bovec

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
