Bovec — 4 nights

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Italian Charnel House and St Mary of the Assumption church. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Tolmin Gorge and River Rafting & Tubing. Change things up with these side-trips from Bovec: Kranjska Gora (Aqua Larix, Vršič Pass, &more). The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Wed): admire the sheer force of Savica Waterfall, pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. Nicholas, then admire the sheer force of Mostnica Gorge, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Bohinj. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Vogel, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St John the Baptist.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
On the 14th (Fri), learn more about the world around you at Magical World of Shells Museum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St Stephen's Church, then take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church, and finally make a trip to Tartini Square. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Bohinjsko Jezero in July: high temperatures in Piran hover around 35°C and lows are around 21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Ljubljana.
