Milan, Italy to Ljubljana is an approximately 4-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also drive; or take a shuttle. Traveling from Milan in August, things will get slightly colder in Ljubljana: highs are around 31°C and lows about 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Novo Mesto.

Novo Mesto — 3 nights

Novo Mesto is the city on a bend of the Krka River in the City Municipality of Novo Mesto in southeastern Slovenia, close to the border with Croatia. Get in touch with nature at Krokar Primeval Forest and River Krupa Spring. Discover out-of-the-way places like Žumberak Mountains and Veliki Rog. Step out of Novo Mesto to go to Metlika and see Galerija Kambič, which is approximately 38 minutes away.
