Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Family-friendly places like Bled Castle and Ljubljana Castle will thrill your kids. Your inner history buff will appreciate Bled Island and Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. Venture out of the city with trips to Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje), Bled (Mala Osojnica, Parasailing & Paragliding, &more) and Museum of Hostages (in Begunje na Gorenjskem). Spend the 23rd (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Zurich, Switzerland to Ljubljana is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. In June, daily temperatures in Ljubljana can reach 29°C, while at night they dip to 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Piran.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
We've included these beaches for you: Strunjan Nature Reserve and Svetilnik Beach. Kids will enjoy Magical World of Shells Museum and Nika's Tiny House. Get out of town with these interesting Piran side-trips: Military Museum Tabor (in Lokev) and Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan). In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Vršič Pass and Liznjekova house. Kobarid Museum and Pocar Farm will appeal to museum buffs. Change things up with a short trip to Tolmin Museum in Tolmin (about 40 minutes away). The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
