A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.
Step off the beaten path and head to Tartini Square and Portorož Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Nemo Divers and Piran Divers. Step out of Portorož with an excursion to Hrastovlje Church of the Holy Trinity in Hrastovlje--about 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Piran Aquarium, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. George's Church, and make a trip to Walls of Piran.
