Cycling may be one of the best ways to tour Maribor, a great base for exploring the surrounding area and conquering Pohorje Mountains.
Vinogradi Horvat - Vineyards Horvat and Carinthia Regional Museum - Slovenj Gradec are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get in touch with nature at Velenje Beach and Maribor City Park. Change things up with these side-trips from Maribor: Slovenj Gradec (Hugo Wolf's Birth House & Church of St. Elizabeth), Carinthian Regional Museum - Ravne na Koroškem (in Ravne na Koroškem) and Tito Statue (in Velenje). The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Visiting Bled Island and Lake Bohinj will get you outdoors. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Old Town Centre of Radovljica and Museum of Apiculture.
