Milan, Italy to Bled is an approximately 5-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also drive; or take a train. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Milan in August: high temperatures in Bled hover around 31°C and lows are around 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Sat) so you can drive to Solčava.

On the 13th (Sun), take in the dramatic scenery at Rinka Waterfall, tour the pleasant surroundings at Logar Valley Landscape Park, and then make a trip to Sveti Duh. On the 14th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stop by Center Rinka, get great views at Solčava Panoramic Road, then appreciate the views at Robanov Kot, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Mary of the Snow.

You can drive from Bled to Solčava in 1.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In August in Solčava, expect temperatures between 31°C during the day and 15°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Tolmin.

Traveling from Solčava in August, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Tolmin, with lows around 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Sat) early enough to go by car back home.
