The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Parasailing & Paragliding and Zipline. Get out of town with these interesting Bled side-trips: Bohinjsko Jezero (Church of St John the Baptist, Lake Bohinj, &more) and Kranjska Gora (The Russian Chapel, Vršič Pass, &more). Spend the 31st (Mon) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic natural features at Vintgar Gorge, pause for some photo ops at Colnar - Boatman, take some stellar pictures from Ojstrica, and step into the grandiose world of Bled Castle.

When traveling from London in July, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Bled: temperatures range from 32°C by day to 17°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) so you can drive to Piran.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Attractions like Tartini Square and Walls of Piran make great kid-friendly stops. Explore Piran's surroundings by going to Postojna (Postojna Cave, The Secret Rooms of Hotel Jama, &more), Lipica Stud Farm (in Lipica) and Vipava River Spring (in Vipava). Next up on the itinerary: explore the fascinating underground world of Škocjan Caves, relax in the rural setting at Fonda Fish Farm, stroll around Forma Viva, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower.

Getting from Bled to Piran by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Bled in August, Piran is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Bovec.

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Kids will enjoy Kayaking & Canoeing and Zipline. Venture out of the city with trips to Tolmin (Tolmin Castle & Tolmin Gorge). The adventure continues: admire the verdant scenery at Soča Valley, skim along the rocks with a canyoning and rapelling tour, admire the sheer force of Kozjak Waterfall, and witness the site of a historic battle at Ravelnik Open Air Museum.
