Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Take a break from the city and head to Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Ljubljanica River. Popular historic sites such as Cathedral of St. Nicholas and Cankarjevo Nabrežje are in your itinerary. Get out of town with these interesting Ljubljana side-trips: Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower (in Koper), Portorož Beach (in Portorož) and Piran (Magical World of Shells Museum & St. George's Church). Next up on the itinerary: step into the grandiose world of Celje Castle, see the interesting displays at National Museum of Contemporary History, pause for some serene contemplation at Ursuline Church of the Holy Trinity, and take a stroll through Ljubljana Old Town.

Bled — 9 nights

The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Explore hidden gems such as Lake Bohinj and Straža Bled. Visiting Vogel and Soča Valley will get you outdoors. Explore Bled's surroundings by going to Bovec (Ravelnik Open Air Museum, Virje Waterfall, &more), Kranjska Gora (Vršič Pass, Zgornjesavska Valley, &more) and Planica Nordic Centre & Zipline (in Rateče). There's still lots to do: admire the sheer force of Peričnik Falls, whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, tour the pleasant surroundings at Vintgar Gorge, and fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour.
