Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

Bring the kids along to Ljubljana Old Town and Parasailing & Paragliding. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ljubljana: Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje), Pokljuka Gorge (in Krnica) and Bled (Colnar - Boatman, St. Martin's Parish Church, &more). Spend the 7th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Ljubljana Castle, explore the historical opulence of Predjama Castle, snap pictures at Dragon Bridge, and whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.
