Piran

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Step out of Piran to go to Škocjan and see Škocjan Caves, which is approximately 44 minutes away. There's much more to do: make a trip to Tartini Square, see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, walk around Forma Viva, and get outside with Šalet Tunnel.
