The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
On the 19th (Wed), explore the activities along Lake Bohinj, then catch a ride on Vogel, then take in the dramatic scenery at Savica Waterfall, and finally take some stellar pictures from Prsivec. On your second day here, take in the awesome beauty at Planina Zajamniki, then get engrossed in the history at Oplen House Museum, and then glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour.

A resort town on the country's scenic Adriatic coastline, Portoroz offers many spas with all kinds of therapeutic treatments, many based on the brine and mud from the area's salt pans.
Bring the kids along to Tartini Square and Fonda Fish Farm. Step out of Portorož with an excursion to Škocjan Caves in Škocjan--about 36 minutes away. The adventure continues: get a new perspective on nature at Magical World of Shells Museum, take in the waterfront at Port Piran, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Anne's Friary, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Francis of Assisi.

You can drive from Bohinjsko Jezero to Portorož in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Traveling from Bohinjsko Jezero in July, things will get somewhat warmer in Portorož: highs are around 35°C and lows about 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Sun) early enough to go by car to Ljubljana.

You can drive from Portorož to Ljubljana in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Portorož in July, expect Ljubljana to be little chillier, temps between 32°C and 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Sat) to allow time to fly back home.
