The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.Kids will appreciate attractions like Triglav National Park and Bled Island. Explore Bled's surroundings by going to Vršič Pass (in Kranjska Gora) and Bohinjsko Jezero (Lake Bohinj & Savica Waterfall). Dusseldorf, Germany to Bled is an approximately 7-hour combination of flight, shuttle, and bus. You can also do a combination of flight and shuttle; or drive. While traveling from Dusseldorf, expect somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Bled, ranging from highs of 31°C to lows of 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Kobarid.

At the very heart of picturesque Soca Valley, Kobarid delivers some of the most stunning views of Slovenia's highest peaks, as well as a chance to enjoy some exciting alpine rivers.Bring the kids along to Kayaking & Canoeing and Zipline. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kobarid: Solkan Bridge (in Solkan), Thirsty River Brewing (in Bovec) and Bjana (in Dobrovo). There's still lots to do: appreciate the views at Soča Valley, walk around Sabotin Park Miru, skim along the rocks with a canyoning and rapelling tour, and witness the site of a historic battle at Ravelnik Open Air Museum.

Traveling by car from Bled to Kobarid takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus; or take a bus. In August in Kobarid, expect temperatures between 28°C during the day and 14°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Piran.

Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Kobarid in August: high temperatures in Piran hover around 34°C and lows are around 20°C.
