A bridge between the Mediterranean and alpine regions of Slovenia, Koper is a small town with big appeal.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Fri): make a trip to Piazza Tito, explore the fascinating underground world of Škocjan Caves, then admire the local landmark of Da Ponte Fountain, then admire the landmark architecture of Praetorian Palace, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower.

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
