Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Ljubljana is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Amsterdam in August: highs in Ljubljana hover around 31°C, while lows dip to 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Portorož.

Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Portorož Beach and Svetilnik Beach. Step out of Portorož with an excursion to Škocjan Caves in Škocjan--about 36 minutes away.
