Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Take a break from the city and head to Postojna Cave and Velika Planina. Get out of town with these interesting Ljubljana side-trips: Postojna (Grotte di Postumia - Park Postojnska jama & Predjama Castle), Logar Valley Landscape Park (in Solčava) and Plansarsko Jezero (in Zgornje Jezersko).
