The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Parasailing & Paragliding and Bled Castle. Get out of town with these interesting Bled side-trips: Rateče (Planica Nordic Centre & Zipline & Three Country Border), Bohinjsko Jezero (Vogel, Savica Waterfall, &more) and Kranjska Gora (Lake Jasna, Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, &more). Spend the 19th (Wed) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. There's much more to do: kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, head off the coast to Bled Island, get curious at Museum of Pharmacy and Alchemy, and test your team's savvy at popular escape rooms.

Piran — 5 nights

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Bring the kids along to Tartini Square and Magical World of Shells Museum. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Piran: Vipava River Spring (in Vipava), Postojna (Tourist Information Centre - Galerija, Postojna Cave, &more) and Škocjan Caves (in Škocjan). There's much more to do: stroll through Portorož Beach, look for all kinds of wild species at Škocjanski Zatok Nature Reserve, take a leisurely stroll along Port Piran, and see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

You can drive from Bled to Piran in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Bled in July, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in Piran, with lows of 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Mon) early enough to drive to Bovec.

Bovec — 4 nights

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Zipline and Boka Waterfall. Explore Bovec's surroundings by going to Tolmin (Tolmin Gorge & Tolmin Castle). There's lots more to do: paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, take in breathtaking views at Virje Waterfall, witness the site of a historic battle at Ravelnik Open Air Museum, and scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour.

Traveling by car from Piran to Bovec takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a bus. In July, Bovec is little chillier than Piran - with highs of 29°C and lows of 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Fri) early enough to go by car back home.
