16 days in Bled Itinerary

Take a break from the city and head to Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bohinj. Bring the kids along to Bled Castle and Bled Island. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bled: Franja Partisan Hospital (in Cerkno), Bohinjsko Jezero (Church of St John the Baptist, Savica Waterfall, &more) and Mostnica Gorge (in Stara Fužina). On the 28th (Fri), dedicate a day to the elevated beauty of Mount Triglav. There's lots more to do: identify plant and animal life at Zelenci Nature Reserve, contemplate the long history of Outdoor Museum Kolovrat (muzej na prostem), step into the grandiose world of Škofja Loka Castle, and pause for some serene contemplation at Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary.
