The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Mon): pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St John the Baptist and then admire the sheer force of Savica Waterfall. On the 6th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the activities along Lake Bohinj, fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Vogel, and finally trek along Golden Horn Fairyland.

Bovec

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Bring the kids along to Vršič Pass and The Russian Chapel. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bovec: Kranjska Gora (Nadiza, Mojčin Dom na Vitrancu, &more). Piran

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Tartini Square and Scuba & Snorkeling. Go for a jaunt from Piran to Škocjan to see Škocjan Caves about 44 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: engage your brain at Magical World of Shells Museum, kick back and relax at Strunjan Nature Reserve, pause for some serene contemplation at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, and take in the exciting artwork at Nika's Tiny House.

Traveling by car from Bovec to Piran takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a bus. In July, Piran is a bit warmer than Bovec - with highs of 35°C and lows of 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Ljubljana.

Ljubljana

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.

Change things up with these side-trips from Ljubljana: Postojna (Predjama Castle, Postojna Cave, &more), Bled (Zipline, Straža Bled, &more) and Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje).
