Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Portorož Beach and Walls of Piran. Visiting Strunjan Nature Reserve and Zusterna Beach will get you outdoors. Change things up with a short trip to Škocjan Caves in Škocjan (about 44 minutes away). And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Tartini Square, kick back and relax at Svetilnik Beach, admire the striking features of Praetorian Palace, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Koper City Beach.

Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Step out of the city life by going to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Stand-Up Paddleboarding. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Beer Tastings & Tours and Cankarjevo Nabrežje. Step out of Ljubljana with an excursion to Cross Cave in Grahovo--about 54 minutes away. There's still lots to do: walk around Tivoli Park, get a sense of history and politics at Town Hall, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of St. Nicholas.

Bled
