Let the collections at Peca Underground - Tourist Mine and Museum and Museum of Recent History Celje capture your imagination. Ptuj Castle and Vulkanija Adventure Park are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore Maribor's surroundings by going to Synagogue Lendava (in Lendava) and Murska Sobota - Monument to Victims of War (in Murska Sobota). You can take a shuttle from Maribor to Ljubljana in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. In May in Ljubljana, expect temperatures between 68°F during the day and 47°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) so you can drive to Piran.
